Hot off the Press! Grasshopper's Week

Today in the Library we were treated to a surprise visit from Darcy and his friend Luke.  Darcy, who has read nearly all the books in this Library (and that's lots!) had one particularly special book he wanted to share.

Darcy and Luke proudly displaying 'Grasshopper's week'

It was a lovely Picture Book called 'Grasshopper's Week, written by his Mum! We didn't have time to read it today, but we all admired the beautiful illustrations and can not wait to get our own copy for the Library

Library Top 10 titles

Last year these were our most popular titles

1. Diary of a wimpy kid: The third wheel
2. Where's Wally
3. Just tricking
4. Diary of a wimpy kid: Greg Heffley's journal
5. The Were-nana
6. Sinking
7. Where's Wally now?
8. Thea Stilton and the star castaways
9. Danny the champion of the world
10. Diary of a wimpy kid : The last straw

There were no surprises with the Diary of the wimpy kid titles and the ever popular Roald Dahl. I was thrilled to see David Hill's 'Sinking' as our 6th most popular title. David was one of our visiting authors last year and made a big impression on the students.

I wonder what our most popular titles this year will be?

Making fun stuff - Family Fun Night

Monster bookmarks, Author posters and Fairy tales - just some of the fun things kids (and their parents) could create in the Library during our recent Family Fun Night. What a great evening.  I Love your scary bookmarks!
